Laura obtained her PhD in 2006. Her work has been focused mainly on the biophysical and biochemical characterization of biological macromolecules. Since 2011 she is the Head of the Surface Plasmon Resonance Service at the Medical Chemistry Institute, where target-drug type interactions are studied. This technique enables the characterization of different types of interactions (proteins, small molecules, DNA) through affinity and kinetic measurements.
