Since October 2017, Paula carries her doctoral studies in Pharmacology and Physiology at the UAM University with an FPU contract granted by the Ministry of Education. The main objective of her thesis project is the validation of new therapeutic targets in taupathies such as Alzheimer’s disease. Her research activities are focused on the study of synaptic, inflammatory and oxidative processes, as well as the mitochondrial function.
