Since October 2016, Cristina studies her PhD in Pharmacology and Physiology at the Pharmacology Department of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. The main research of her doctoral thesis focuses on the implication of the microglial enzyme hemoxygenase I (HO-1) in inflammatory processes, aging and neurodegenerative diseases.
